Job Description:

responsible for designing, conducting, and analyzing experiments in support of ongoing research projects which seek to investigate the mechanism of cartilage regeneration. The position involves performing experimental procedures with a high degree of independence, selecting appropriate methods for data acquisition, and making informed decisions regarding experimental design, protocol optimization, and troubleshooting. The Senior Research Associate will contribute to data interpretation and ensure rigorous and reproducible research practices. Preferred qualifications include experience with in vivo and/or in vitro experimental models, imaging techniques, histological analysis, cell culture, and general laboratory research methods.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education/experience/licensing
• Ph.D. (or equivalent terminal degree in a relevant discipline) or Master's (or equivalent) degree, plus relevant experience.
• Master's plus at least five (5) yrs of relevant post-master's professional work experience, Bachelor's plus at least eight (8) yrs of exceptional relevant professional experience may be considered.
Communication and Other Skills
• Demonstrated abilities in laboratory techniques required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Experience with mentoring students required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in animal handling, gene cloning, mutagenesis, DNA/RNA isolation from tissue, recombinant vector generation for gene delivery, and primary cell culture.
