Job Description:
This Secretary I position is responsible for the efficient functioning of the office of Engineering College Computing (ECC) in the College of Engineering. This position is also responsible for routine administrative functions, such as answering the phone, greeting and assisting customers/clients, granting door access to faculty, staff, and students, and handling any mail and correspondence. This position files employment paperwork, makes purchases, schedules meetings, organizes department events, and maintains department records, equipment, and supplies. This position supports all administrative aspects of the office.
Minimum Qualifications:
• High school diploma or the equivalent is required.
• Six (6) months of clerical support experience required.
• Typing speed of 30 WPM required.
• Proficient in MS Office and MS Excel.
• Ability to communicate directly verbally and in writing required.
• Must be self-motivated, organized, and sensitive to timelines.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Familiarity with UT systems, including Web Report Library, Concur, and Banner, as well as UToledo hiring forms, is a plus.
