Job Description:

The Secretary I is responsible for the efficient functioning of the Bioengineering Department in the College of Engineering. This position answers inquiries, directs guests, and assists with maintaining the department website. This position also files employment paperwork, makes purchases, schedules meetings, organizes department events, and maintains department records, equipment, and supplies.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or the equivalent is required.
Six (6) months of clerical support experience required.
Typing speed of 30 WPM required.
Proficient in MS Office and MS Excel.
Ability to communicate directly verbally and in writing required.
Must be self-motivated, organized, and sensitive to timelines.


Preferred Qualifications:

Some familiarity with maintaining website is preferred.
Familiarity with UT systems, including Web Report Library, Concur, and Banner, as well as UToledo hiring forms, is a plus.
