Job Description:
The Department of Chemical Engineering at The University of Toledo invites applications for a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor with a research emphasis on Applications of AI in Chemical Engineering. Candidates with additional interests in engineering education are especially encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate will: (1) teach undergraduate and graduate courses in chemical engineering, (2) develop innovative curriculum offerings, including AI-driven applications in engineering, (3) establish an externally funded research program, (4) contribute to outreach initiatives, and (5) advance teaching excellence.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field (completed by start date).
• Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching, application of AI in research, and scholarly productivity.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Postdoctoral or equivalent research experience.
• Evidence of securing or contributing to externally funded research.
• Research experience in engineering education.
• Record of service and/or outreach.
• Experience mentoring students and collaborating with educational or community organizations.
