Job Description:

Under minimal supervision from staff development management. This position is responsible for organizing and prioritizing daily activities by relieving the staff development management and other department managers of routine and non-routine administrative duties. Administrative Assistant 2 will also provide support to faculty, staff, residents, students and others as related to staff development as discussed above.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education/experience/licensing:
• Associate or Bachelor degree in secretarial science, business, management or closely related
field or equivalent experience performing administrative functions required; degree will be given
preference.
• At least one year of recent secretarial experience; at a higher level preferred.
• Typing skills and accuracy of at least 60 WPM (test may be administered).
• Advanced computer skills required including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and One Drive.
• Experience with API or another electronic payroll preferred.
• Must be proficient in screening incoming calls and triage appropriately required.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills and exhibits good time management is required. Must be flexible, able to manage multiple high priority demands, rearrange priorities as needed, and handle heavy volumes of work with deadlines.
• Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and communication skills required.
• Ability to maintain harmonious relationships to work appropriately with people on all levels including, but not limited to administration, faculty, staff, students, and all other internal and external customers required.
• Must be able to compose own correspondence and the ability to gain the confidence of others required.
• Manage confidential information and always maintain confidentiality, including FERPA, HIPAA or any other confidentiality requirements/policies.
• Demonstrates intuitiveness, anticipatory leadership skills, and timeliness, following and carrying out instructions, policy/procedure compliance and work quality.
