Job Description:

The Director, Internal Audit is a strategic leader serving as the Chief Auditor responsible for planning, directing, and managing the university's internal audit function. This role ensures the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes across all areas of the university. The Director provides independent, objective assurance and consulting services designed to add value and improve the university's operations. This position requires a strategic professional with strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in internal audit, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Experience in a university or
healthcare environment is preferred.
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or other relevant
certification.

Skills and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of internal audit standards, risk assessment methodologies, and control frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex information to diverse audiences.
- Monitors and checks work to meet quality standards; demonstrates a high level of care and thoroughness; checks work to ensure
completeness and accuracy.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in audit software and data analytics tools.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong conflict management skills.
- Strong ethical standards and integrity.
