Job Description:
This entry level Athletic Trainer is responsible for: prevention of athletic injury & illness; injury evaluation, assessment, and management; rehabilitation of athletic injury. This position will also be responsible for assisting in policy and procedure development and the education and counseling of student athletes and coaches.
This role will also assist the sports medicine staff in various other areas as deemed necessary by the Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Medicine. The Assis
Minimum Qualifications:
Education/experience/licensing:
•Must be certified by the National Athletic Trainer’s Association
•A minimum of a master’s degree required but will accept a bachelor’s degree with some experience in lieu of higher education.
•CPR certification
•Must be eligible for an Ohio Athletic Training license.
Communication and other skills:
•Excellent oral & written communication skills are required.
•Excellent organizational skills are required.
•Exceptional computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office are required.
•Excellent problem-solving skills are required.
•Must have the ability to, as well as meet the requirement to complete and maintain mandatory training per the University Mandatory Training policy pursuant to the deadlines set forth therein.
•Flexibility in work hours/days
•Ability to function as a member of a sports medicine team.
•Demonstrate professional and ethical behavior.
