Job Description:

Under general supervision of the Director of Central Services supports the overall mission of the institution and works to ensure the cleanliness and maintains a safe & healthy environment for the students, faculty and staff. The Sr. Supervisor is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and supervising activities of custodial workers engaged in cleaning and maintenance the campus buildings, furniture, and fixtures. This position will schedule employees, assign duties, inspect work, investigate complaints regarding custodial services, and recommend corrective action. May purchase supplies and equipment, take periodic inventories, screen applicants, and train new employees.

Minimum Qualifications:

• **Associates degree, vocational or technical school degree.
• At least 5 years of work-related experience working in facilities, janitorial or custodial in a public facility.
• At least 5 years of supervisory or managerial responsibilities.
• Demonstrate thorough understanding of environmental service equipment, supplies, policies and procedures.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with a diverse and wide range of people.
• Specialty Training in Carpet Care, Customer Service, Floor Care and or Supervisor training.
• Knowledgeable in use of Microsoft Office suite (or similar), including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree.
• More than 2 years extensive knowledge and experience in custodial work loading and use of associated software.
• APPA Leadership in Professional Development, Educational Facility Professional or other related training or certifications.
