Job Description:

The Clinical Placement Coordinator works with clinical sites to evaluate potential clinical placement areas that promote the best clinical experiences for COMLS learners (medical and PA students). This position will assist in the coordination of all clinical placements for COMLS students at UTMC, ProMedica, and all other affiliated sites. The coordinator will also collaborate with the clinical departments and the Physician Assistant (PA) program to help ensure that there are adequate clinical spots for all COMLS learners.

Minimum Qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree with experience in healthcare-related field preferred or equivalent education and experience.
-Two to three years of sales, recruiting or other related experience.
-Current knowledge of healthcare industry
-Interpersonal skills to work with a wide variety of people each day, build relationships, and network.
-Communication skills, especially persuasion, to clearly convey the benefits of teaching students.
-Must have excellent organization skills, be detail-oriented, and be able to multitask.
-Must be proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Adobe.
-Must have the ability to effectively communicate in verbal and written form.
-Demonstrate proficiency in organizing and presenting material to a professional audience.
-Ability to perform efficiently and in a professional manner, especially under demanding situations.
-Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
-Ability to write legibly, speak articulately, and follow direction accurately.
-Ability to type accurately and a good working knowledge of rules of grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

Preferred Qualifications:

-Experience in centralized clinical placement a plus
