Job Description:
This position provides support to research operations within the Cognitive Disorders Research Laboratory (CDRL). The research assistant will spend the majority of their time performing bench laboratory procedures. Other duties include statistical analysis of laboratory data, as well as other procedures related to research goals within the project the research assistant is assigned. A portion of time will also be spent performing other, miscellaneous work in support of the laboratory’s research activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to work cooperatively with a multidisciplinary research team.
Ability to perform duties with meticulousness and independence, under general guidance from the Principal Investigator.
Ability to perform complex calculations, database searches and data organization.
Ability to multi-task
Excellent notetaking abilities (for lab notebook purposes).
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with bioinformatics.
Experience working with graduate and professional students.
