Job Description:

The Senior Human Resources Business Partner (Senior HRBP) will support the University of Toledo Medical Center (UTMC) and clinics by providing strategic guidance to ensure effective planning and implementation of HR and people initiatives. This is a senior-level individual contributor position working with and supporting all levels of leadership to build leadership talent, enhance employee engagement, and ensure decisions and actions are in accordance with university and clinical policies and procedures. The individual in this role will have broad accountability to help enhance organizational effectiveness and influence without having official organizational people management responsibility. The individual will effectively assimilate information, identify appropriate actions or solutions, and will have a capacity for dealing with ambiguity and change. The Senior HRBP will serve as a liaison between assigned departments and the Director, Human Resources. The individual will work closely with business leaders to help manage and provide expert advice on talent acquisition, compensation, leaves of absence, labor relations, employee relations to improve working relationships, employee development, and increase productivity and retention.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 10+ years of human resources experience including a minimum of 5 years as a Human Resources Business Partner or equivalent role
• Demonstratable experience in fast-growth, fast-paced environments and with a distributed workforce model
• Experience working with HRIS systems, Applicant Tracking Systems, Performance Management Systems

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s or advanced degree
• Demonstratable knowledge of project management or project management certification
• Demonstratable knowledge of change management or Change Management certification
• Human Resources Certification (PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP)
• Two or more years of experience in a university setting and/or health care experience
