Job Description:
Under the general supervision of the Technical Manager, the staff radiation oncology therapist applies ionizing radiation to the patient in accordance with the prescription and instructions of the Radiation Oncologist and under the guidelines set forth by the clinical physicist.
Effectively responds to customer service needs.
1. Demonstrates effective age and culturally appropriate interaction with patients, families, and other members of the health care team.

Actively participates in performance improvement activities as related to job duties.

Minimum Qualifications:
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; satisfactorily completion of formal radiologic technology training majoring in radiation therapy in an accredited school and meets the requirements for registry by the ARRT.
Must hold current license as required by State of Ohio Department of Health.
Must provide documentation of continuing education required by the ARRT to ensure high competence level.
Required to be CPR certified.
