Job Description:

The John and Lillian Neff College of Business and Innovation at the University of Toledo invites applications for a full-time Lecturer (non-tenure track) Faculty position in the Department of Management. This is a nine-month faculty appointment starting Fall 2024.

The expected teaching load is 15 credit hours per semester (fall and spring), utilizing face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online delivery methods through a course management system. Primary teaching responsibilities encompass undergraduate-level instruction in Management. The main focus will be on Career Development, with additional potential areas including Managerial Communications, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Human Resources, and/or Organizational Leadership. Experience in these fields, particularly in professional recruitment and career development, is considered relevant and desirable.

The position additionally includes service responsibilities such as contributing to assessment of student learning outcomes, student advising, other student-centered activities, and faculty governance and committee service to support the mission and priorities of the department, college, and university.

Minimum Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have earned a master’s degree or higher in management or a related field from a fully accredited institution. Strong communication, organization, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous teaching experience in a business school is preferred. Ideal candidates will have a successful record of prior professional business experience, leadership responsibilities, and prior online course delivery experience. The Department prefers candidates with prior experience working with a student population from a variety of different backgrounds in order to support the mission and initiatives of the Department and College.
