Ensure Spinwheel scales responsibly, compliantly, and with audit-ready rigor as we accelerate growth.
Spinwheel is redefining how consumers access and act on financial data through AI-powered infrastructure. As we expand our partner base and prepare for the next stage of scale, we’re hiring a Senior Manager, Compliance & Operations to own the day-to-day mechanics of CRA operations, partner due diligence, and compliance program execution.
This is a high-impact leadership role, central to building trust with partners, clients, and regulators while enabling the company to scale from $15M to $30M ARR. You will design, manage, and optimize the operational foundation that supports 2–3× growth without added risk.
You’ll report directly to senior leadership and manage the Compliance & Operations Analyst as the team expands. What You’ll Own

  • Lead client due diligence processes and partner assessments.
  • Define, measure, and enforce SLAs to deliver predictable, audit-ready execution.
  • Coordinate all audit cycles, including SOC 2 and partner audits, ensuring evidence quality and timely remediation.
Audit Readiness & Governance
  • Maintain compliance tooling, evidence repositories, and documentation.
  • Oversee audit preparedness across controls, processes, and cross-functional teams.
  • Partner with Compliance & Risk Program Manager to ensure operational alignment on control coverage.
Risk Management

  • Maintain visibility into compliance and operational risk posture.
  • Support risk register updates, issue tracking, and trend analysis.
Tier 1 Support & Triage Oversight
  • Oversee support protocols, escalation processes, and SLA adherence.
  • Analyze operational issues to identify root causes and systemic gaps.
  • Ensure client-facing teams get rapid, compliant, well-documented responses.
Tooling, Automation & Scaling
  • Define operational tooling and automation needs; work with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.
  • Improve dashboards, workflow systems, and data accuracy for compliance and partner operations.
  • Build the operational infrastructure required for 2–3× client and partner volume.
Continuous Improvement
  • Identify and prioritize process gaps across CRA, due diligence, and partner workflows.
  • Drive improvements that materially reduce risk, increase efficiency, or strengthen audit readiness.
  • Implement scalable, repeatable SOPs to replace ad-hoc processes.
You Might Be a Fit If You…
  • Have 6–10+ years of experience in compliance operations, fintech operations, risk management, or similar roles.
  • Have experience supporting SOC 2, regulatory audits, partner audits, or financial data governance programs.
  • Are highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to build structure in fast-moving environments.
  • Have a track record of improving operational efficiency through tooling or automation.
  • Excel at cross-functional collaboration with product, engineering, legal, and GTM teams.
  • Are comfortable managing, coaching, and developing junior team members.
  • Thrive in a high-growth, high-accountability startup environment.
Success in This Role Looks Like…
  • SLA compliance, high partner satisfaction, and predictable CRA execution.
  • Audit pass rates and strong evidence management discipline.
  • Improved efficiency, reflected in reduced friction and fewer operational errors.
  • Increased automation and operational tooling adoption across compliance workflows.
  • Clear visibility into compliance health, risk posture, and operational performance.
  • Scalable processes that support 2–3× partner and client growth without additional risk.
