We are searching for a full-time Ventures Associate focused on portfolio and investor operations. This is an incredible role for someone who loves to work with entrepreneurs and early stage startups to solve mission critical initiatives, while serving as a highly visible Plug and Play representative to the tech community. Your focus is to ensure Plug and Play is doing everything we can to provide operational support across our portfolio. This opportunity is about understanding the different challenges our portfolio companies face and using our network to accelerate go-to-market, customer development, and hiring.

Responsibilities:

  • Engaging and supporting our portfolio companies through sales and marketing, market research, and hiring.
  • Curating a playbook of lessons learned and best practices for our founders to navigate the Plug and Play network.
  • Developing best practices for various Plug and Play functions to frequently engage with portfolio companies.
  • Build peer groups between functional leaders within the portfolio to enable collaboration and knowledge sharing to ultimately drive the sustainability, success, and health/happiness of our founders.
  • Manage and contribute to the production of quarterly investor reporting, including quantitative and qualitative summaries and assessments of portfolio company commercial performance.
  • Manage and fulfill ad hoc investor/reporting requests from investors, assist with prospective investor due diligence requests, and the maintenance of updated offering materials and other materials about the firm and its investments.
  • Promote and maintain an active network of professionals from industry and entrepreneurs in the local Northwest Arkansas region.

Required skills and experience:

  • At least 2–4 years of experience in and around startups, especially in a product, business development, or marketing role.
  • Organized & detail-oriented who can keep trains running on time & leaves no stone left unturned.
  • You love to network and build communities for founders.
  • You’re comfortable operating independently with autonomy, and are solutions-focused.
  • Strong ability to zoom out for high-level strategic thinking, then zoom back in to ruthlessly prioritize and execute.
  • You work well as part of a team, and can collaborate cross-functionally and across multiple time zones.

* Attendance policy: 4 days at the office and 1 day at home.
