We are actively seeking a Corporate Partnerships Manager to be responsible for sales and business development of our InsurTech vertical in Sunnyvale, California. The Corporate Partnerships Manager is driven, focused, and has a strong desire to deliver results in a high-growth company.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE:

  • The purpose is to grow the InsurTech platform in Silicon Valley.
  • The Corporate Partnerships Manager, InsurTech reports to Plug and Play’s Director of InsurTech and oversees a territory within North America and/or a segment within the insurance market.
  • This pivotal role requires formulating and implementing a comprehensive strategy for acquiring and engaging insurance companies and managing an account-based sales strategy.
  • Quota Ownership and Execution: Lead strategies to execute against quotas for InsurTech in North America’s assigned geographic territories and/or segment, and then meet and exceed sales goals through prospecting, qualifying, managing, and closing sales opportunities.
  • Travel: To execute this strategy it will require continuous travel to attend conferences, and visit carriers, brokers, reinsurers, and technology providers.
  • Pipeline Generation: Execute an account-based strategy and weekly operating cadence to drive sustained AE and partner-sourced pipeline generation within our Strategic InsurTech ICP (Ideal Customer Profile).
  • Event Ownership: Establish co-marketing relationships with conference organizers, gauge speaking opportunities to further position Plug and Play as a leader in the VC and Insurance industry.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Develop strong cross-functional relationships across Plug and Play, becoming a trusted thought partner on all insurance-related matters.
  • Thought Leadership: Build thought leadership on the future state of the Insurtech industry and its potential impact on Plug and Play’s overall strategy.
  • Pipeline management for longer sales cycles. Provide regular reporting of pipeline and accurate forecasts through Salesforce.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • 4 + years of work experience within a high-growth or scaling technology company in the enterprise SaaS, fintech, and/or insurtech spaces.
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable working in a creative, fast-paced, dynamic, and performance-driven environment.
  • Track record of exceeding goals and quotas for a segment that emphasizes high efficiency in the sales process.
  • Demonstrates a genuine passion for fintech and insurtech, accompanied by an existing network within the community.
  • Thrives in a competitive selling environment while displaying a low ego and an adeptness for collaborating effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Possess a high degree of autonomy in work with the ability to work with minimal supervision to create, advance, and close deals.
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in public speaking.
