We’re looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join our Time product team within our growing Product Development department. You will have the opportunity to work in an exciting stack including .NET Core, C#, React, and MongoDB. As a Staff Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally with embedded Product Owners, Ops and QA. You will mentor others and leverage cutting edge technologies while working in Agile teams. Everyone has a voice as your entire team actively participates in Scrum practices.

  • Work closely with your cross-functional product team (which includes QA and product managers) to scope, plan, and build products that drive OnShift forward

  • Main producer of code for a product team spending 75-85% time in hands on development

  • Contribute to and guide the current and future state of the product architecture

  • Mentor and coach new team members as our department continues to grow

  • Collaborate with other scrum development teams and others across the company to ensure standards are followed and we follow SOLID principles

  • Lead the discussions around solving technical and organizational problems as they arise

  • Prioritize quality initiatives and factors in your own code and through the pull request process for your team and other team’s members

  • Help refine and cultivate OnShift’s architecture, technical standards, and Agile processes


  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or similar degree preferred

  • 7+ years of experience in a commercial SaaS software development environment required

  • Professional full stack development experience, C#, .NET Core required

  • Experience in Experience with React or Angular required

  • Proven experience with modern application architecture principles

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and build relationships to solve challenges

  • Experience leading and mentoring others on a development team as well as a commitment to fostering a learning environment

  • Experience in API design and development

  • Experience with automated testing, building and other tenets of Agile Development

  • Fluent in modern design patterns and ability to establish them

  • Experience with virtualization/container technologies such as Docker

  • Experience developing in multiple technologies on multiple platforms
