Department Specific Information
Join Northeast Ohio Medical University’s (NEOMED) Health Services Research team.
NEOMED has a focus area in Health Services Research represented by social and behavioral science faculty in the Departments of Psychiatry, Family and Community Medicine, and other collaborators, including faculty and clinician-researchers at University Hospitals of Cleveland. NEOMED is a mission-driven, community-based medical university committed to educating health professionals, advancing discovery and improving the health of our region.

We are seeking a social and behavioral science postdoctoral fellow in health services research. Health services research is an interdisciplinary field that examines how organizations, social structures, processes, technologies, social factors, and personal behaviors influence access to and quality of care, as well as individual and population physical and mental health outcomes. We encourage applicants from disciplines such as social work, psychology, sociology, public health or related fields, with expertise in at least one methodological approach often employed in health services research (e.g., community engaged research, qualitative methods, quantitative methods, among others).

The postdoctoral fellow will be encouraged to develop an independent research agenda that fits within the areas of focus of collaborative partners, including but not limited to: health services delivery, social drivers of health, implementation science, medical education and healthcare workforce development, integrated behavioral health and primary care, and population health. Findings from this work are expected to advance our understanding of improving health services and delivery of care for patients and populations. Evaluating the success of research obligations will be based on efforts toward publication and grant funding success.

At our organization, we are committed to fostering a collaborative and team-oriented environment that is essential to fulfilling our mission. We believe every employee should feel appreciated, valued, and empowered. To maintain a supportive organizational culture, we seek individuals whose values align with our mission and who thrive in a team-based approach. We encourage individuals whose values align with this collaborative approach to apply.
