Position Summary Information

Department Specific Information
Summary	This is a part-time faculty appointment at either the Assistant or Associate Professor rank responsible for providing course leadership and development for selected predoctoral courses. This will include case development and didactic instruction for dental students in a case-based course that aims to foster students’ ability to apply and integrate biomedical, clinical, and behavioral/social sciences knowledge in the context of patient cases. This will also include course development and didactic instruction for dental students in patient health history assessment and managing dental care for medically compromised patients. Faculty rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Principal Functional Responsibilities	Teaching: Provide course leadership, case development, and didactic instruction (engaged learner, case-based setting) in the Integrated Cases course series for D2 students and in the Patient Assessment course for D2 students. Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications	DDS/DMD degree from an ADA-accredited dental school, or equivalent. Must be eligible to obtain a Dentist License or a Limited Dental Teaching License in the state of Ohio at the time of appointment.
Preferred Qualifications	Additional Qualifications: Additional graduate degree or training in a biomedical or health sciences discipline or field. Teaching Experience and Expertise: Experienced dental educator with experience in didactic teaching in a predoctoral curriculum. Clinical Practice Experience: Prior clinical practice experience in general dentistry.
Physical Requirements	Must be able to utilize a phone, computer and other office equipment.
