Position Summary Information
Summary | Primary responsibilities will focus on providing support to simulation events in support of NEOMED college educational curriculum requirements. Assist in orienting and educating simulated patients (SP’s) in preparation for simulation events, both inside and external to the Wasson Center. Assist in orienting faculty and students to Wasson Center facilities and operations in preparation for simulation events. Ensure simulation events in the Wasson Center are run efficiently and effectively. Provide consultative expertise to college faculty on use of simulation to support educational curriculum development. Maintain simulation technology IT/AT system knowledge to problem solve and offer technical support to NEOMED faculty, students, and staff. |

Principal Functional Responsibilities | Assessment/Program Implementation: Provide support and assistance to ensure all Wasson Center and external simulation events in support of college educational requirements are run efficiently and meet all learning objectives. Coordinate and complete the implementation of a variety of tasks for Wasson Center, simulation activities, including recruiting, scheduling and training of SPs. Provide direction to faculty, SPs, and students to orient them to the assessment/program. Ensure simulation events run smoothly. Provide functional support for program implementation by serving as a point of contact to answer questions from faculty, staff, and students. Receive feedback from faculty, students, and SPs on improvement opportunities for simulation events and provide those to the Director for inclusion in future Wasson Center operating procedures. Simulation Technology Administration Support: Administration and technical support, operation of simulation recording IT/AT systems needed for activities and assessments. Maintain knowledge of current systems and problem solving of recording systems. Administer remote simulation educational learning activities. Maintain, schedule use and support simulators and task trainers needed for faculty and student use in the curriculum. Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned. |
