Position Summary Information
Summary | Report to the Principal Investigator. Responsibilities include performing complex experiments, bioanalytical assays using mass spectrometry and handling mice under general supervision. The qualified applicant must have strong organizational skills and the ability to conduct multiple experiments simultaneously. Northeast Ohio Medical University is an AA/EEO Employer. Principal Functional Responsibilities | 1) Complete projects and experiments in accordance with written protocols that require a high degree of manual skill and dexterity, as well as a high degree of mental application to secure accurate and definitive results. 2) Modify experimental protocols and/or create new protocols as necessary to further the goals of the project or to troubleshoot problems 3) Provide assistance to others in the laboratory as needed to further the general goals of the laboratory. 4) Assist in the general maintenance of laboratory equipment and instrumentation; maintain general laboratory cleanliness and safety 5) Maintain the laboratory including documentation of experiments in the lab notebooks, the acquisition of supplies and chemicals, record keeping, 6) Perform other duties as assigned |
Qualifications | Education/Degrees: · Bachelor’s degree in science with emphasis on research techniques, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience: · Some research experience is required (1+years) |

Physical Requirements | Must be able to utilize applicable equipment necessary for the job, as well as basic office equipment.
