As a data analysis manager in the Strategy Control organization, you will lead a team of data analysts who support the Strategy Group’s vision to build an enduring and always growing Progressive. The group you will lead is responsible for analyzing and reporting on business and financial performance with a focus on creating new and innovative ways to mine insights from data and driving consistency in key metrics and reporting. You will set priorities and guide how work is completed to support the goals of the various initiatives across Strategy Group such as pet health insurance, life insurance, and personal loans. In this role, you will establish standard reporting and analytical practices, apply modeling expertise to deliver insights, and partner with leaders across the organization to address complex business challenges and support long‑term strategic decision‑making
This position is hybrid with the expectation of working a minimum of 1 day per week at the Level20 office (800 W. St Clair Ave., Suite 200, Cleveland, OH 44143), where free parking is available and/or at Progressive Corporate Headquarters (300 N. Commons Blvd., Mayfield Village, OH 44143).
Must-have qualifications
- A minimum of 8 years analytical work experience, with at least 2 years leadership experience (e.g., supervisory/management role).
- {OR} Bachelor's degree or higher and a minimum of 5 years analytical work experience, with at least 2 years leadership experience (e.g., supervisory/management role).
Preferred skills
- Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to balance details and the big picture.
- Desire and capability to develop people and create an inclusive work environment.
- Strong drive for results through self and others.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, competency with PowerBI/Tableau, familiarity with SQL/Python
- Time management skills including planning work ahead and prioritization, handling projects simultaneously.
Compensation
- $102,800-$146,900/ year
- Gainshare annual cash incentive payment up to 40% of your eligible earnings based on company performance.
