As the senior manager of corporate actuary, reporting to Progressive’s Chief Reserving Actuary, you’ll lead a team of analysts responsible for setting loss reserves across several products including workers compensation, commercial auto large fleet trucking, and personal auto. In this role, you’ll lead the integration efforts of several products off legacy actuarial systems onto Progressive core actuarial systems. Additionally, you’ll develop and apply predictive modeling and machine learning techniques to improve reserve accuracy.

This is a remote position; quarterly travel may be required.

Must-have qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or Finance
• Associateship (ACAS) designation
• A minimum of seven years of actuarial experience

Preferred skills

• Prior management experience
• Knowledge of programming languages such as SQL, R, or Python
• Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills

Compensation

• $122,400 – $174,800/year
• Gainshare bonus up to 50% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
• Participation in our restricted stock units plan
