As the business leader of corporate tax, reporting to Progressive’s Chief Financial Officer, you’ll participate in the development of the company’s tax strategy. In this role, you’ll ensure compliance with all federal, state and local tax laws and regulations while providing leadership to the Corporate Tax teams. You’ll oversee organization wide corporate tax planning and preparation activities, along with research and filings of all corporate tax returns.

Must-have qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field of study (e.g., Finance)
• CPA required
• Ten years tax work experience including planning and compliance

Preferred skills

• Ability to establish strategic direction and provide operational oversight
• Demonstrated influencing/persuasion skills to achieve desired results
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Capable of developing and maintaining effective internal/external relationships
• Ability to lead and mentor staff to achieve tangible business results and outcomes

Compensation

• $225,000 – $325,000/year
• Gainshare bonus up to 120% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
• Participation in our restricted stock units plan
