As an actuarial analyst mid, you’ll review and analyze loss and loss adjustment expense reserves for our Transportation Network Company (TNC) products. In this role, you’ll ensure accurate reserve levels across multiple segments, provide recommendations to improve reserve adequacy, and support pricing and product management decisions. You’ll also engage in occasional ad-hoc projects, contributing to the development of analyses for new lines or segments. This position offers a valuable opportunity for professional growth as an actuarial student, including support for actuarial exams. Candidates without the required actuarial exams can be considered for a Loss Reserving Analyst II position.

Must-have qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field of study and a minimum of one year of analytical work experience
  • Instead of a quantitative degree, a bachelor's degree or higher and a minimum of three years of analytical work experience
  • Instead of a degree, a minimum of four years of analytical work experience
  • Minimum of three passed actuarial exams recognized by the Casualty Actuarial Society.

Preferred skills

  • Basic programming skills in SQL
  • Experience using R, Python, and Excel Pivot Tables, Lookup Functions, Macros, and Power Query
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop and generate written communications, letters, work papers and reports.

Compensation

  • $70,000 - $93,500/year
  • Gainshare bonus up to 24%-30% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
