As a pricing actuarial analyst on the Commercial Lines Auto team, you'll conduct research and analysis to support the profitability and growth of our core Commercial Auto business in a variety of states. You'll calculate pricing adequacy by state in our quickly-growing business and organization. Collaborating with your team, you'll make recommendations and implement changes to state product design, rating factor relativities, and rate levels.

Must-have qualifications

  • A minimum of 4 years of analytical work experience
  • {OR} Bachelor's degree or higher and a minimum of 3 years of analytical work experience.
  • {OR} Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field of study and a minimum of 1 year analytical work experience.
  • Minimum of 3 passed actuarial exams recognized by the Casualty Actuarial Society

Preferred skills

  • Insurance Pricing or Product experience.
  • Strong technical skills, including familiarity with general ratemaking methods.
  • Proficiency with PowerPivot, R, SQL, or Tableau.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel with knowledge of spreadsheet functionality including v-lookup, pivot tables, charts, and graphing.
  • Excellent communication skills including visualization of quantitative information for non-technical audiences plus the ability to incorporate company, industry, and competitor information into holistic recommendations, including ad-hoc analysis .

Compensation

  • $70,100 - $124,300/year depending on position level
  • Gainshare bonus up to 30% of your eligible earnings based on company performance.
