As a commercial underwriter intermediate or senior, in our Commercial Auto organization, you’ll manage a book of commercial trucking accounts providing underwriting proposals and rates on new and renewal business. You’ll have the opportunity to work with agents throughout the underwriting process from new policies to changes to an existing policy. In this role you will collaborate with departments such as claims and loss prevention to analyze risks and make underwriting decisions.

Location: Our team’s office space is in Carmel, Indiana with flexible work from home days. Remote work is allowed.

Must-have qualifications

• High school diploma/GED equivalent or higher and a minimum 5 years relevant commercial lines, insurance industry, and/or underwriting experience.
• {OR} Bachelor's degree or higher and a minimum 2 years relevant commercial lines, insurance industry, and/or underwriting experience.

Preferred skills

• Medium or large fleet commercial auto underwriting experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented with effective time management skills

Compensation

• $52,700-$85,000 depending on position level and experience
• Gainshare bonus up to 16-24% (depending on position level) of your eligible earnings based on company performance
