As a bindery operator within the Creative Business Printshop, you'll be responsible for finishing printed products by operating and maintaining various types of finishing equipment. You'll assist press operators with color and black/white cut-sheet creative print as well as executing projects used for marketing and internal communications and mailings. In this role, you'll also assist in the set-up of jobs on the equipment (e.g., inserters, finishing) by preparing, transporting and verifying the required materials used in the processing of work assignments. Additionally, you'll troubleshoot issues and ensure the quality and accuracy of all materials.

Must-have Qualifications

  • High School diploma/GED equivalent or higher and minimum of two years experience in a production or print/mail environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of print/mail production and/or bindery operations or a technical background
  • The ability to operate a computer and the use of Microsoft products or a print management software system
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and assignments simultaneously and troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Ability to transition between multiple pieces of equipment according to job specification and business priorities
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment

Schedule

  • Monday – Friday, 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm

Compensation

  • $18.00 - $20.00/hour
  • Gainshare bonus up to 16% of your eligible earnings, based on company performance

Physical requirements/working conditions

  • Must be able to move and/or lift 22 lb. mail trays at any given time, 60 lbs. at other times and move up to 1,200 pounds using a pallet jack.
  • Requires long periods of standing (e.g., mailroom)
  • May require prolonged repetitive use of the upper extremities
  • Exposure to chemicals, equipment, noise and other work conditions typically found in a commercial facility is possible
  • Required to frequently walk, sit, bend and kneel
  • Required to use hands and fingers to operate objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms
  • Required to climb, balance, stoop, crouch and crawl
  • Vision abilities include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus
  • Involves operating heavy machinery and equipment
