As a DB2 database administrator (DBA) senior or lead, you’ll have the opportunity to work on operational requirements stemming from service requests from our customers, implementation of DB2 V12 new function mode (NFM) capabilities and working with application teams to improve application performance and the end user experience. This is an exciting opportunity to join the DB2 DBA team and work with our most critical application areas and projects in support of our destination era goals.

This is a remote position.

Must-have qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in an Information Technology discipline or related field of study (e.g., Computer Science, MIS, Software Engineering) and a minimum four years of related work experience with database application development, database administration, and/or operating system administration with RDBMS
  • In lieu of a degree, a minimum of six years related work experience with database application development, database administration, and/or operating system administration with RDBMS may be accepted.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of DB2 including stored procedures, DB2 utilities, table space structure
  • Ability to create/define tables & indexes, views & triggers
  • Knowledge of procedural language routines (e.g., SQL) and strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data from various sources and determine next actions
  • Preferred knowledge of data sharing and working with online applications and warehouses
  • Preferred experience with QMF, IBM tools, Cobol, REXX

Compensation

  • $111,000 - $146,000/year (depending on position level and experience)
  • Gainshare bonus up to 30-40% (depending on position level) of your eligible earnings based on company performance
