As a strategy research analyst (senior or lead) within our Strategy organization, you’ll develop actionable insights from emerging macro, industry, and consumer trends. Working with colleagues on the Strategy Process team, you’ll collaborate with various business groups at Progressive to aid in Business Unit strategy and insights derived from hypothesis-driven analysis, communicating your research and findings in a compelling manner. addition to supporting the trends ideation process, you will work with Progressive leaders who will rely on you to make recommendations and drive change. You will also get to support Corporate Development efforts as they arise.

Location: This is a remote position. Local to Cleveland or Chicago preferred for occasional in-person meetings. This position will require quarterly travel to Cleveland for Strategy meetings and/or project work (estimated 4-6 times a year).

Must-have qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Economics or related field (Marketing, Social Sciences) required
  • A minimum of 3 years related work experience in business, economics or related field required

Preferred skills

  • Knowledge of market and industry research methodologies
  • Strong analytical and conceptual problem-solving skills; demonstrated comfort in dealing with ambiguity; Ability to manage project workstreams and work independently under tight timelines
  • Advanced Excel modeling and statistical skills with the ability to synthesize data into meaningful insights that drive successful business actions
  • Proven experience building business cases from conceptualization to recommendation
  • Strong Executive presentation skills including public speaking and PowerPoint presentation development, interaction experience with C-suite leadership and leading industry experts is preferred

Compensation

  • $90,000 - $130,000/year depending on position level and experience
  • Gainshare bonus up to 30% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
