Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and maintain high-quality Java applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
  • Write clean, efficient, and reusable code
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues in existing software applications
  • Perform code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices

Qualifications:

-Must have experience in Struts 1.x

  • Strong proficiency in Java development
  • Experience with web application development using Java frameworks
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Knowledge of database systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL)
  • Understanding of software development principles and design patterns
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Desired Knowledge In:

  1. Struts 1.3.x

  2. JDBC

  3. MySQL 5+

  4. SQL

  5. Maven

  6. Tomcat 7+

  7. Apache 2.x

  8. phpMyAdmin

  9. Linux

  10. Design Patterns: MVC, DAO, POJO, Singleton

Must have maintained and extended existing code bases in the past. Must be willing to work closely with senior developers and follow directions for implementation. Experience with Git, cloud deployments, and DevOps is a plus.

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 29 per week
