The Deal Flow Associate (Associate) is responsible for demonstrating best-in-class work in all aspects related to the intake and evaluating applications for services and investment/funding made to JumpStart Ventures. The Associate follows JumpStart Ventures’ investment best practices and works to effectively and accurately identify companies that meet the criteria outlined in the investment theses of JumpStart Ventures managed funds. The Associate works with entrepreneurs to provide value-added feedback while concurrently identifying/ evaluating Ohio’s and Midwest’s most promising high-growth startup company’s eligibility for investment. In this capacity, the IA engages with startup company CEOs and evaluates business ideas through direct engagement with entrepreneurs, review of pitch decks, fundraising materials, and other resources as needed, and determines the company’s prospects for investment/funding. This position requires traveling (~30% of the time) to different parts of the State and the Midwest.
