SUMMARY
This position provides program support to the Child Nutrition Initiative (CNI) programs. This position is responsible for the day to day functions of program support. It will focus on the coordination of the Kids Café, Backpacks for Kids, and the Summer Food Service Programs. Through these programs the Food Bank will partner with community sites to provide meals. This position will work with these community partners to ensure all CNI sites and files are compliant with state guidelines. Travel required to all CNI sites, but not limited to three times a year. Position provides support to other Foodbank programs on a regular basis. This position requires that one work well in a team atmosphere and be committed to a high level of communication both internally and externally. Performance of the following duties is done personally.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Cultivates relationships between GCFB and CNI program sites by providing excellent customer service to all CNI customers. Maintain up to date files on CNI and Programs. All files must be organized by fiscal year and available for any audits. Internal documentation on monthly menus, daily sign in sheets, site visit forms, required site licenses, pre-site approval forms, separate entity agreement forms, signed contracts and more information must be organized and updated all year.

Responsible for the monitoring and collection of daily meal count sheets and monthly attendance sheets for the CNI Program sites.

With Manager of Programs, attend all ODE trainings for CACFP and SFSP as necessary.

Responsible for the CNI sites data entry of meal counts and attendance into monthly spreadsheet.

Collects, reviews and uploads CNI delivery invoices for paperless file improvement and updating.

Advocates and solves problems for CNI Programs

Develops rapport and grows relationships with CNI sites and community partnerships. Maintain current information in site files including applications inspections and closing schedules.

Assist in providing record keeping and ongoing trainings to all CNI Program sites.

Works closely with Programs staff assisting with various GCFB projects in the community.

Conduct pre-approval site visits for CNI Programs. Complete paperworneeded for Manager of Programs to register new sites in ODE’s system and obtain proper delivery information for the Fleet

Working with Manager of Programs, create an annual site visit calendar, assuring all CNI Program sites are scheduled for the required visits during the year. Majority of the site visits will be completed by the Program Assistants.

Communicate any issues on site visits with Manager of Programs so a corrective action form can be completed.

Maintains required job knowledge and skills and core professional competencies. Attends and participates in required educational programs and staff meetings.

Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma. Some college course work or Associates Degree preferred. 3 years related experience in social service preferred. Must possess excellent customer service skills. Experience working with meal programs. Must be willing and able to travel for the organization with a personal vehicle on short notice. Unencumbered drivers license. Must be able to exercise leadership in various internal and external relationships, including cultivation and networking. Willingness to work beyond normal working hours, when necessary. Must possess outstanding communication skills to effectively work in an environment of highly diverse people. Must possess strong attention to detail. Proficiency in Windows based computer software, with an emphasis on spreadsheets, word processing and database management mandatory.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENT
The physical requirements for this position include: Ability to frequently remain in a stationary position. Ability to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. frequently. Ability to operate a computer or other office productivity machinery constantly. Occasional ability to ascend/descend stairs to access work spaces. Occasional ability to position or move body to access filing cabinets or other work equipment. Ability to constantly exchange accurate information and communicate in person or via telephone with clients, partners, donors, coworkers and other members of the community. Must be able to constantly view a computer screen. Ability to move office equipment/supplies occasionally. Ability to lift 25-50 lbs on a regular basis. Travel is frequently required for this position. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Salary Range: $36,000 - $41,600
