WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Sales Training Manager leads the development, implementation and execution of sales training. The objective is to accelerate the growth of the sales training for Interventional Heart Failure Management. The Sales Trainer will play a critical role in the launch of the Cordella PA Pressure Sensor System. The role will oversee and direct the development, deployment, and management of all sales training initiatives within the sales organization. This role focuses on developing training curriculum and training content for field-based employees in the following areas: product/technical knowledge, product use best practices, selling skills, cardiac anatomy, and standard operating procedures. Additionally, this role will continuously analyze the training needs of sales representatives as products and markets evolve, as well as project management, execution of programs, development of new program design and support for training resources. Responsibilities include organizing and conducting training sessions, both in the field and at corporate facilities, and full scope of learning and developing. The Sales Training Manager may also work with the marketing team and product management to incorporate marketing strategies into the training curriculum.

  • Design and develop all sales training programs (technical as well as soft skills) to include a comprehensive organizational needs analysis in support of the Sales development program.
  • Review, approve and coordinate all external training for the Sales operation.
  • Submit and manage the training budget.
  • Develop full orientation program for new Sales employees to complement functional onboarding.
  • Develop, implement and coordinate a “Train-the-Trainer” program for field sales trainers.
  • Develop Product Modules and training delivery system.
  • Coordinate product updates and news releases based on innovative training programs.
  • Provide corporate leadership in all areas of development and training for Sales.
  • Develop accredited training programs for clinical use.
  • Measure effectiveness of Sales training programs.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • Demonstrated, proven success in a medical device training & development leadership position for a growing team of highly qualified and experienced sales representatives.
  • 5+ years Training and Development in a medical device, pharmaceutical, MedTech, or biotech environment
  • 5+ years track record of building instructional design curricula in a sales and/or marketing environment.
  • Strong technical background with the ability to understand and convey complex technical information effectively. Essential skills include business planning and analysis, strategic planning, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a highly demanding environment. Goal oriented with a strong personal drive to be self-sufficient, action oriented and a self-starter.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, G Suite, Salesforce, and other business-related software systems. Proven ability to deliver training to a wide variety of audiences.
  • Advanced knowledge of business systems
  • Understanding of the competencies of medical device and/or pharmaceutical sales representatives and their leadership is essential
  • Design and development, needs assessment and the use of LMS systems experience; Sales Enablement platform experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Your willingness to work a flexible schedule which may include weekends and/or evening work, with overnight travel to regional/ corporate headquarter meetings will ensure your customers’ commitments are met.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
