NRS is seeking a skilled and reliable CDL A local dry van seasonal driver in Piscataway, NJ. This job will consist of local deliveries, which will get you home daily. Drivers must be comfortable with city driving. This is a seasonal role with potential to roll into a permanent role after the season

Compensation

• Hourly Rate: $33-$37/per hour
• OT paid after 40 hours

Home Time, Route & Schedule

• Home daily
• Local deliveries - NYC Required
• Shift: 1st and 3rd shift available
• Days of week vary
• This is a seasonal role typically running through December
• Freight includes a mix of pallet deliveries and drop-and-hook operations

Requirements

• Must be at least 23 years of age
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• Minimum of 1 year Class A driving experience (or equivalent military driving experience) within the last 3 years
• Availability to work for the full duration of the seasonal assignment
• Minimum 1 year Class A driving experience (or equivalent military experience)
• Clean driving record (MVR, PSP, prior employment)
• DOT-compliant: drug screening, medical qualifications, and current physical certification
• Ability to read, write, and speak English in compliance with DOT regulations
• Knowledge of transportation, logistics, and safety procedures
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• High attention to detail and commitment to following safety procedures
• Physical stamina for extended periods of driving, plus the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed

• Manual Dexterity: Frequent use of hands and feet to operate vehicles, controls, and equipment.

• Extended Sitting: Long periods of sitting while operating vehicles for multiple days.
• Focus & Navigation: Continuous concentration on driving, navigation, and situational awareness.
• Variable Hours: Work may include early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and overnight trips.
• Weather Exposure: Loading and unloading operations may occur in various weather conditions.
• Climbing & Balancing: Entering/exiting truck cabs and trailers and securing cargo safely.
