Job Summary:
As Alviere's Deputy BSA Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and enhancing our BSA/AML/OFAC Compliance Program. This position demands a professional with a profound understanding of the Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, OFAC regulations, and a comprehensive grasp of federal and state compliance laws. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining Alviere's compliance posture and ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Compliance Oversight: Evaluate and bolster the efficacy of our BSA/AML/OFAC compliance processes and internal controls. Propose and implement necessary enhancements to meet regulatory standards.
- Monitoring and Implementation: Continuous monitoring of compliance across Alviere and its banking partners, ensuring policies and procedures are up-to-date and effectively implemented.
- Policy Development: Spearhead the creation of desktop procedures to document all processes clearly and concisely. Lead the charge in maintaining and updating compliance policies to reflect regulatory changes.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the compliance team, fostering an environment of growth and learning. Drive the adoption of technology and tools for more efficient compliance practices.
- Risk Management: Oversee model validation efforts to align with our Model Risk Management policy. Regularly update the BSA/AML/OFAC Compliance Risk Assessment to identify and mitigate risks.
- Regulatory Preparedness: Prepare diligently for regulatory examinations, audits, and reviews. Develop comprehensive remediation plans for any identified issues, ensuring timely completion in accordance with internal policies.
- Strategic Initiatives: Lead and contribute to strategic compliance projects and initiatives as required, demonstrating flexibility and forward-thinking in compliance strategy.
A successful Deputy BSA Officer will have the following:
- 5-10 years experience and gradual progression in roles related to AML/SANCTIONS/KYC.
- Extensive knowledge of BSA, USA PATRIOT Act, OFAC, and related federal and state regulatory compliance laws.
- Proven experience in a similar compliance role, preferably within the fintech or banking sector.
- Strong leadership capabilities, with a track record of developing teams and enhancing compliance processes.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
- Ability to navigate and lead through complex regulatory environments.
- Effective communication skills, with the proficiency to articulate compliance requirements across various levels of the organization.
In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected salary range for this position is $95,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and location. This position is eligible for Company bonus and equity.
